The
beginning:
A-Tech
Automotive is owned by two brothers, Keith and Ken Tanis, avid automotive
enthusiasts whose boyhood tinkering grew into what is now one of the
largest privately owned automotive service centers on the east coast.
Currently A-Tech Automotive provides maintenance, repairs, and accessories
for almost all makes of vehicles - foreign and domestic.
The
plan:
A-Tech
Automotive was intended from the beginning to be a superior automotive
service center. They started from scratch with the building, which
was built specifically for automotive repair, and which was designed
to be a modern and efficient automotive service center. Their ASE
certified technicians work in climate controlled, well-lit service
bays, utilizing the latest technologies such as computer diagnostics
and laser alignments, allowing them to work on almost any car with
almost any problem.
The
future:
Today’s
vehicles are more complex than ever, and A-Tech Automotive knows
how important it is to have the proper training and tools to accurately
diagnose and repair them. For these reasons, all of their technicians
are ASE certified and are constantly being trained and re-certified
on new procedures and technologies that allow them to fix your car
right the first time.

A-Tech Automotive, employees are paid by the hour. Most dealerships
and garages pay their employees based on "flat rate." What that
means is that if a certain job calls for a certain time, that amount
of time is all the technician gets paid for regardless if he runs

type of environment where jobs are rushed, mistakes are made, and
ultimately comebacks occur. Paying employees by the hour allows
an A-Tech Automotive technician to take the time he needs to accurately
